Webinar: Using the Medium Effectively: Blackboard Tests
The Center for Teaching Excellence is hosting this webinar from SUNY's Center for Professional Development.
It will be from noon to 2 p.m. in the Center for Teaching Excellence.
This two hour webinar is designed for faculty who are new to Blackboard and those who have been teaching on the system for some time. We will cover all of the question types that Blackboard has listed when creating new questions. Giving examples along the way, we will show question types that can be used to create new ways to present questions in your course. In this demonstration we will cover Pools in the tests area and the Reuse Question option on the test canvas. We will also demonstrate how and when to use Question Sets, the Find Question option and Random Blocks. During the webinar, learners are encouraged to practice creating questions and developing tests. Having a practice course in your instance is preferable. If you are new to Blackboard, you may want to reach out to your campus staff for account creation/login information.
Learners will be able to create new Blackboard test questions using the question types available.
Learners will be able to add questions to Pools and create Question Sets, Random Blocks and search for these questions when adding to a test canvas
Learners will be able to identify which type of question type to use for creating a new question on their test.
